Company History

Although BPC has grown and expanded since our formation in the early seventies, our basic philosophy has remained the same: To provide cost-effective, efficient steel-processing services to help our customers maximize their profits. BPC does not purchase or sell steel. Instead, we process customer-owned bar stock to precise specifications. Our advanced operations can be used to non-destructively test surface quality, provide carbon restoration, and meet close length and dimensional specifications.

BPC prides itself on non-competitive customer relationships. We work together with our customers on each job to ensure complete satisfaction. Because our only business is processing steel, we are able to concentrate our efforts and our investment capital on being the premier processor in the industry. Our equipment is well-maintained and continually upgraded to retain the most current technology. Our professional engineers and machinists receive extensive training and remain well-informed of new techniques and industry trends. The most modern equipment, high quality service, and a strong partnership with our customers provide the foundation of our past and future success.

BPC's corporate headquarters is located in Flat Rock, Michigan.

Bar Processing consists of seven manufacturing facilities in Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois, utilizing over 600,000 square feet. Each facility has a variety of finishing operations and ancillary equipment strategically located in the Midwest.
