CHAMFERING
CAPABILITIES
PRECISION CHAMFERING
Precision ends are often the solution to many nagging problems associated with processing straight length bar and tube. Machine chamfering is a valuable process that enhances the safety, quality, and efficiency of steel bar applications. Fewer machine delays, hang ups, collet damage and better material utilization are just a few of the problems chamfered ends can resolve.
BPC utilizes a number of chamfer/cutoff machines to provide precision square ends with a full machine chamfer if desired.
Benefits of Machine Chamfered Ends
Improved Safety:
- Reduced risk of injury: Chamfered edges eliminate sharp edges that can cause cuts and abrasions during handling and assembly.
Enhanced Product Quality:
- Improved appearance: Chamfered edges give the steel bars a more finished and professional look.
- Better performance: In certain applications, such as welding or assembly, chamfered ends can improve the quality and strength of the joint.
Increased Efficiency:
- Faster assembly: Chamfered ends can facilitate smoother and faster assembly processes, especially in automated systems.
- Reduced waste: Precise chamfering minimizes material waste and optimizes material utilization.
Longer Tool Life:
- Reduced tool wear: Chamfered edges can reduce the stress on cutting tools during subsequent machining operations, extending their lifespan.

Opportunities may include:
- Cold Forming Applications
- High-Speed Shearing
- Bar Feed Systems
- Multi-Spindle Screw
- Machine Applications
